The 14th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-Kisan) was released on 30th May 2023. The scheme provides financial assistance of Rs. 6000 per year to eligible farmers in three equal installments of Rs. 2000 each. The 14th installment will benefit over 12 crore farmers across the country.
The PM-Kisan scheme is a centrally sponsored scheme, which means that the central government provides the funds for the scheme and the state governments are responsible for implementing the scheme. The scheme was launched on 24th February 2019.
To be eligible for the PM-Kisan scheme, farmers must:
- Be a citizen of India
- Have a landholding of at least 2 hectares
- Have a bank account in their name
- Have a registered Aadhaar card
Farmers can check their eligibility for the PM-Kisan scheme and register for the scheme on the official website of the scheme, pmkisan.gov.in.
Once a farmer is registered for the scheme, the government will transfer the amount of Rs. 2000 directly to their bank account in three equal installments. The first installment is released between April and July, the second installment is released between August and November, and the third installment is released between December and March.

To check the beneficiary status, follow these steps:
- Go to the official website of PM-Kisan, pmkisan.gov.in
- Click on the “Beneficiary Status” tab
- Enter your Aadhaar number or bank account number
- Click on the “Submit” button
- Your beneficiary status will be displayed on the screen
