Objective of Nand Baba Milk Mission Yojana
The main objective of the scheme is to increase the income of cattle herders and farmers by providing them a fair price for their milk.
Dairy Farmer Producer Organizations will be formed in 05 districts of Uttar Pradesh
As the first project of the year 2023-24, 05 Dairy Farmer Producer Organizations will be established in 05 districts of Uttar Pradesh. Women will play an important role in these dairy producer organizations. The government has invested Rs 1000 crore for the Nand Baba Milk Mission Yojana, which will be used to provide grants to farmers and cattle herders. Through this scheme, a database of farmers will be created, so that they can be provided benefits of government schemes at the right time.
A committee will also be formed for the Nand Baba Milk Mission Yojana.
Committees will be formed at the state and district level by the Uttar Pradesh government to operate the Nand Baba Milk Mission Scheme. Out of which committees will be formed under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary at the state level and DM at the district level. Through this mission, the state will become number one in the field of milk production with an annual growth of more than 25% in the coming years.
