Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has launched the Vitthal Rukmini Warkari Bima Chhatra Yojana to provide social and financial security to the workers of the state. Under this scheme, financial assistance is provided by the government to the followers (Varkaris) of Lord Vitthal in case of disability, illness or death. If the applicant is sick then he will be able to get his treatment in a better hospital with the financial assistance provided by the government
If the applicant has died then the amount of assistance provided by the government will be given to his family, so that his family members do not have to bear the burden of financial expenses.
