Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has started the Khet Suraksha Yojana to rid the farmers of the problem of stray cattle. Under this scheme, if their crops are being damaged by stray animals in the farmers’ fields, then the farmers of the state can put fences around their fields. If any stray animal touches this fence, it will get a 12 volt shock. Due to this stray animals will not be able to harm the fields of the farmers and their crops will also be safe. Subsidy available under UP Khet Suraksha Yojana
The Uttar Pradesh government will provide financial assistance to small and marginal farmers to install solar fencing around their fields to protect them from stray animals. Out of which 60% or ₹ 143000 per hectare grant will be provided to the farmers. Whichever is less of these two will be given as subsidy to the farmers.
