With this scheme, more and more electric and CNG vehicles will be used in the state, so that the increasing pollution level can be reduced. Under the बिहार स्वच्छ ईंधन योजना, the government will provide subsidy to the citizens of the state on replacement of old diesel and petrol powered three wheelers with new CNG / battery powered three wheelers and retrofitment of CNG kit in petrol powered three wheelers and commercial motor cabs / maxicabs. The grant amount will be deposited in the bank account of the applicant, so that the citizens of the state can come forward to take advantage of the scheme.

The benefit of Bihar Clean Fuel Yojana will be available on first come first serve basis.
Under the Clean Fuel Scheme, benefits will be provided to the citizens of the state on first come first serve basis. The implementation of the scheme will be done according to the target set year-wise for a period of 02 years in accordance with the policy of “first come-first serve” under Gaya Municipal Corporation and Muzaffarpur Municipal Corporation area.
