Bihar government has started the ex-gratia grant scheme to provide financial security to the citizens of the state. Under this scheme, financial assistance will be provided by the Government of Bihar to the families of all those persons who died after April 1, 2016 due to drinking spurious liquor. Let us tell you that under this scheme, an amount of Rs 4 lakh will be provided to the dependents of the deceased. From 17 April 2023, Bihar Anugrah Anudan Yojana has been implemented in the entire state. According to the guidelines given by the government, from April 1, 2016 to April 17, 2023, those who have died due to drinking alcohol will not require any kind of document. But after April 17, 2023, all the people who have died due to poisonous liquor will need postmaster documents, only then they will be able to get the benefit of this scheme.
