For the purchase of 02 or 04 deshi cows, the government will provide 75% subsidy for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Extremely Backward Classes and 50% subsidy will be given for all other categories. Similarly, a grant of 40% will be provided by the state government to those who rear 15 or 20 desi cows. This grant will be payable to all classes.
Eligibility for Desi Gaupalan Protsahan Yojana
- The applicant must be a resident of the state of Bihar.
- Unemployed, farmers and cattle rearers will be eligible to take advantage of the scheme.
- To set up a mini dairy of 15 to 20 cows, the applicant must have a membership certificate of the Milk Production Society.
- The bank account of the applicant should be linked with Aadhaar card.
